(owls with ears and others)
Snowy Owl wingspan ranges from 165 cm to 205 cm for adult birds.
Height ranges from 60 cm to 83 cm. Female eagles are larger than their male counterparts.
Weight ranges from just under 2 kg to 3.6 kg. Again the female eagle tend to be larger than male eagles.
Snowy owls actively hunt during daytime. Their ears are slightly offset, one being higher in the skull than the other, this way they can (by bobbing their head) hear a rat running in a tunnel under a layer of snow without seeing it at all. Another interesting fact - The amount of eggs a female will lay depends on the amount of pregnant prey (hormones) it catches just before breeding season.
